Vaanam: High on expectations


Simbu's much-awaited multistarrer Vaanam, which also has Anushka, Bharath, Vega, Prakashraj, Saranya and Sonia Agarwal in prominent roles, has created curiosity among critics and audiences alike. The film recently cleared the Censors' hurdle with a U/A certificate without any visual cuts.
Interestingly, the Censor Board officials praised Simbu for his wonderful effort, which delighted him. The film, produced by VTV Productions and Magic Box, has some mind blowing music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Nirav Shah is the cinematographer and Anthony takes care of the editing. Dayanidhi Alalgiri's Cloud Nine Movies has acquired the release rights of the film. Kural TV Creations (P) Ltd is handling the Chennai release.

Mohabbath releases today in Kerala



East Coast Vijayan's prestigeous film Mohabbath featuring Meera Jasmine and Munna released today.

The film is very crucial for both the actors. East Coast Vijayan lost his reputation as an album director and show director through his first film Novel which bombed at the boxoffice.

Meera is also desperately in need of a hit. Her last two films Paattinte Palazhi and Four Friends collapsed at the boxoffice.

The actress who doesn't maintain good relationship with any leading actors or directors in Malayalam needs a huge hit for getting back her number one position.

Meanwhile Aascar films first Malayalam flick Lucky Jokers will release on Friday. This film features Suraj Venjarammoodu in double role and is directed by Sunil.

Tamil actor Karthi Wedding News


Tamil actor Karthi father Shiva Kumar broke the marriage news of his younger son. Karthi’s wedding is fixed with Ranjani, a graduate from Stella Maris,chennai in MA English Literature. She is a daughter of Erode Chinna Swamy and Jyothi Meenakshi.

The actor Karthi marriage announcement was made by his father Sivakumar, who said this through a press statement. Incidentally, Karthi is the younger brother of leading actor Suriya. The actor decided to get married when his career is almost at the peak. His latest film Siruthai, released in 2011 is going to be his greatest hit. Karthi is now working on his next film named Sakuni.

Prithviraj married his lady love Supriya Menon, at a quiet private wedding in Palakkad.

The actor has been denying vehemently and giving interviews, trashing sify.com, who broke the story of his 'lady love'.

Prithviraj took the local media for a ride, but at the end had to eat the humble pie.

He should realise that the media covers him as he is a celebrity and is an upcoming star in the making.
